Our Aviation company is seeking candidates to work as passenger service agents at Auckland Airport.

PLEASE NOTE : Due to Auckland airport security requirements employees working for us must be citizens or permanent residents

A qualification in Travel, Tourism or relevant experience in these fields is required.

You will provide the highest level of professionalism and efficiency to deliver quality customer service to all the passengers we handle while maintaining the policies, standards, and safety requirements of the client airlines and the company.

Key Responsibilities

Passenger Check-In:

Check tickets, electronic tickets and travel documents are valid for flight

Weigh and tag checked baggage

Carry out seat allocation

Enter baggage figures

Issue boarding and lounge passes

Assess excess baggage collection where applicable

Handle Denied Boarding Compensation

Baggage Services:

Assist the Baggage Services Team with the handling of lost, found and damaged property matters

Assist in transfer of baggage to other carriers.

Arrivals and Departures:

Handle special needs passengers including unaccompanied minors, wheelchairs, MAAS, groups, etc and direct all passengers to/from aircraft through control areas.

Assist passengers with their baggage where due to age, personal circumstances or limited mobility are unable to do this form themselves.

Monitor boarding process including checks of passport against boarding pass before entering in to the airline boarding system.

Monitor passenger seating and security access to the aircraft and air-side operational areas.

Special handling where flights are interrupted, delayed or canceled.

Use of Public Address.

Aircraft cabin checks and air-bridge operation including liaison with Ramp, Flight Operations, Load Control, Engineering and Flight/Cabin Crew.

Manage First/Business Class Lounge and associated duties.

Ticket Office:

The issuing and reissuing of, but not limited to, airline tickets

Collection of excess baggage charges, handling of refunds and Denied Boarding Compensation, issue of Miscellaneous Charges Orders, Flight Interruption Manifests and hotel vouchers

Enrollment in client airlines mileage programme

Issuance of Unaccompanied Minor forms

Daily cash reconciliation and banking

Compile all returns and reports

General:

Departure and post departure messages and completion of all relevant paperwork.

Maintain flight files containing relevant information for each flight for ninety days.

Accounting, record keeping and general assistance of passengers.

Carry out all reasonable instructions required by the company to carry out the duties required to services, our customers, and their passengers as part of the required company and airline policies and procedures.

A Passenger Services Agent is required to operate as a team member and actively assist other staff members in their duties, and to complete any other duties that may be required from time to time.

This position is a minimum of 25 hours per week. Due the varying hours and changing rosters, this position will best suit graduate students.
