The Why …
You thrive when you are supervising a team, keeping on top of operational challenges and ensuring excellent customer service is achieved through the actions of your team…but you love driving too and getting out delivering freight, when and if needed!
You’re a thinker and do-er, who is highly organised and knows how and when to change the plan to respond to a changing situation, keeps calm and is able to make good decisions and communicate effectively to our customers and within the team.
You’re already successful in what you do and you are ready for a new challenge within our fast paced, performance oriented NZ owned transport and logistics company. You also like the fact that you’ll basically be part of the branch from the beginning and be able to help mold and develop it – as we settle in the Central Otago environment.
The What and Who …
You get transport and freight, you thrive on a challenge and you know how to improve the operation through continuous improvement. You are comfortable with people, processes, updating the computer system, reporting results and the day to day operational responsibilities of managing the freight load and unload of trucks but you also like to get out and do the work yourself for a bit of variety.
To be successful at Fliway, you’ll be:
Able to supervise the small team and report to a manager based in Dunedin
Safety focused – able to lead and manage health and safety
Able to train and communicate effectively with our people (verbal and written)
Good at using the computer, including Microsoft Office systems
Hold a clean Class 2 – 4 licence, ideally or willing to obtain your licence
