Fullers, the leading ferry operator in the Hauraki Gulf, is recruiting for Onboard Service Crew: the emphasis of this role is definitely on customer service!

Fullers Onboard Services Crew provide exceptional and memorable customer service on board our growing fleet, based out of central Auckland. In this role, you will be the face of Fullers, with responsibilities including but not limited to:

Meeting and greeting customers onboard

Providing a café and bar service

Maintaining a pleasant and enjoyable passenger environment

Promoting our products and providing information on our services

Cleaning of the vessel

As part of our onboard team, you will be interacting with masters, deckhands and service supervisors to ensure our customers have a thoroughly enjoyable time on board. You should be confident and empathetic. In-house marine and hospitality training will be provided, however a hospitality background and experience out on the water is warmly welcomed. With a current fleet of 18 high speed passenger catamarans, ranging in size from 24m to 41m, we operate throughout the Harauki Gulf and busy Auckland Harbour. Our services operate seven days a week, which means rosters can change weekly: full availability is vital.

Before you apply you should know this is a rostered shift role . What does it mean? Rostered shift roles will change weekly and you might be asked to start working as early as 4:30 in the morning, or stay until as late as 2:00am. If you don’t like varied hours, I’d say this is not the job for you. If you are one of those who loves seeing the sun rising or all the beautiful sunsets Auckland provides, then keep reading as you may fall in love with this job!

You might be now thinking – how do I get to work when I am schedule to start at 4:30am? We expect you to have your own reliable transport . We really need you to be able to get to/from work without issues and on time. And yes, parking will be provided in a very low rate if you are working outside transport hours.
